The Beta Tau chapter of Delta Gamma was founded at the University of Miami in 1946. The chapter is currently comprised of 120 women. In 2007, Beta Tau was recognized as an outstanding chapter of Delta Gamma by earning the Patricia Peterson Danielson award, a national award of excellence presented to only 22 of the 146 Delta Gamma chapters.

Additionally in Spring 2008, the Association of Greek Letter Organizations at the University of Miami presented awards of "most outstanding chapter involvement" and "best community service/philanthropy" to Beta Tau. This tradition of excellence, however, is no new matter. In 1966, the first Anchor Splash was held at the University of Miami and has now spread to a national level as Delta Gamma's main fundraising event.

The women of Beta Tau are prevalent in all aspects of the University campus and surrounding community. The daily motto of a Delta Gamma is to "Do Good," which we will continue to teach our sisters and spread the well being associated with "good" to others.
